Account deletion — how to request it and what happens

You can request deletion of your organisation's Kredily account at any time. Because deletion is irreversible and payroll data carries statutory obligations, it follows a verified, admin-initiated process rather than a self-service button.

Who can request deletion

Only a primary admin of the organisation can request account deletion. Requests from individual employees apply to their employee record instead — an admin can make a person inactive or remove them (see Make an employee inactive).

How to request it

1. Export anything you need to keep first — payslips, registers and reports (see Export reports). Once deletion completes, data is not recoverable.
2. Raise a ticket (or write to support) from the primary admin's registered email, stating your company URL (yourcompany.kredily.com) and that you want the account deleted.
3. Our team verifies the request with the admin on record before anything is removed — this protects you from a rogue or mistaken request.

What happens to your data

• Access for all users of your organisation is disabled once the request is confirmed.
• Your organisation's data is then removed from the live product.
• Statutory records note: Indian payroll and employment law requires employers to retain certain records (payroll registers, PF/ESI/TDS filings) for prescribed periods. Deleting your Kredily account does not remove your obligation to retain them — export before you delete.

Common issues

• "I deleted an employee, not the account, by mistake" — an inactive employee can be handled by your admin; raise a ticket quickly if you believe data was removed in error.
• "How long does it take?" — the verification step depends on reaching the primary admin; the deletion itself is then scheduled and confirmed back to you on the same ticket.

When to contact support

All deletion requests go through support by design. Also raise a ticket if you want a data export you can't produce from Reports, or written confirmation of deletion for your records.
