Asking the co-pilot questions and how privacy works

โœฆ AI Co-PilotUpdated 2026-07-15

The AI co-pilot is designed so every answer respects who's asking โ€” you get help understanding Kredily and your own data, without exposing information you shouldn't see.

How to ask a good question

  1. Open the co-pilot from within Kredily (available in-app wherever it's enabled for your role).
  2. Ask in plain language, the way you'd ask a colleague โ€” "Why was tax deducted this month?" or "How many casual leave days do I have left?"
  3. If the first answer isn't specific enough, add detail โ€” mention the month, the leave type, or the exact process you're asking about.

The co-pilot works best with specific questions about your own records or how a Kredily process works, rather than broad open-ended requests.

How privacy and permissions work

  • The co-pilot only answers with data you're already permitted to see. An employee gets answers scoped to their own records; a manager or admin gets the broader access their role already has in Kredily โ€” the co-pilot doesn't grant any new access.
  • Company-specific answers are grounded in your organization's own configured data and policies, not another company's setup.
  • General questions (e.g. "how does professional tax work") draw on Kredily's knowledge base and apply broadly, while questions about your own leave, payslip, or claims draw on your actual records.

What it won't do

  • It won't reveal another employee's personal or payroll data to you, regardless of how the question is phrased.
  • It won't perform actions that require a human decision (approving, rejecting, submitting) on your behalf.

Common issues

  • Co-pilot says it can't access something โ€” this usually means the question falls outside your role's permissions, not a bug; check with your admin if you believe you should have access.
  • Answer doesn't match what you see elsewhere in Kredily โ€” ask a more specific question referencing the exact month/record, and if it still doesn't match, treat the in-app record as authoritative and report the discrepancy.

When to contact support

If the co-pilot appears to answer with data outside your role's permissions, raise a ticket immediately with the exact question and answer โ€” this is treated as a priority issue.
