Clock in on the mobile app

โ–ข Mobile AppUpdated 2026-07-15

Clocking in from the mobile app works the same way as the web app, using whichever tracking methods your organization has enabled on your attendance rule โ€” GPS location, selfie, or KredEYE face recognition.

Clocking in

  1. Open the app and go to the Clock In / Attendance screen.
  2. If your company uses geo-fencing, make sure location services are on and you're within the office radius โ€” the app checks this before accepting the punch.
  3. If selfie validation or KredEYE is enabled, follow the camera prompt to capture your face.
  4. Tap Clock In. You'll see a confirmation once the punch is recorded.

Clocking out at the end of the day works the same way from the same screen.

Working remotely or in the field

If you don't work from a fixed office location, your admin may have configured a rule that doesn't require geo-fencing, or one with a wider allowed radius. If clock-in fails because you're "outside" the expected area but you're legitimately working remotely, contact your admin rather than repeatedly retrying.

Common issues

  • Clock In button doesn't respond โ€” force-close and reopen the app, and confirm you're on the latest version.
  • "Location not available" โ€” enable precise/GPS location for the app in your phone settings and make sure you're within the configured radius.
  • Face or selfie not accepted โ€” see Face clock-in troubleshooting for lighting and angle tips.
  • No Clock In option at all โ€” you may not have an attendance rule assigned; ask your admin.

When to contact support

If clock-in fails on the app with correct permissions, location, and a valid attendance rule assigned, raise a ticket noting the device (Android/iOS), app version, and error shown.
