Add admins and manage roles & permissions

โš™ Admin & AccessUpdated 2026-06-13

Kredily uses roles to decide what each person can see and do. Admins grant access; the role determines the screens and actions available.

Roles at a glance

Role Typical access
Admin / HR Admin Full HR setup, employees, attendance, leave, settings
Finance Admin Payroll, salary structures, pay register, statutory
Manager / Team admin Their team's attendance, leave approvals, reportees
Employee Self-service: own attendance, leave, payslips, profile

(Exact role names can vary by plan; the principle is the same โ€” access follows the role.)

Give someone admin / extra access

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Controls & Permissions (or Roles & Permissions).
  2. Find the employee and assign the role/permission you want them to have.
  3. Save. The change applies on their next login.

An admin must already be an employee in your directory. To make someone the CEO/owner-level admin or grant a colleague admin rights, assign the appropriate role here โ€” you don't need a separate "external" account.

Common issues

  • "Where do I give admin permission to another employee?" โ€” Settings โ†’ Controls & Permissions, then assign the role. They must be in the directory first.
  • Can the CEO edit anyone's profile? โ€” yes, with an admin-level role; a plain manager only sees their own reportees.
  • Access doesn't apply โ€” roles take effect on next login; have them sign out and back in.
  • Adding an admin and licensing โ€” admins still occupy a user seat; see Increase your user licenses if you're at your limit.

When to contact support

A role is assigned correctly but the person still can't see the expected screens โ€” raise a ticket with their employee ID and the role you assigned.
