Add employees and invite them to Kredily
The Employee Directory is the database of everyone in your organisation. You can add people one at a time or in bulk, then invite them so they activate their own accounts.
Add a single employee
- On the home page (or Employees โ Directory), click the ๏ผ Add icon.
- Fill the mandatory fields across Personal, Work, and Finance.
- Click Save.
Add many at once (bulk upload)
- Click Bulk Add. The mandatory columns are pre-selected; tick any optional fields you want.
- Download the Excel sheet, fill in every mandatory column, and upload it.
- Kredily validates the file and creates the employees. For large files the import runs in the background โ you can track progress and see any failed rows with the reason.
Tip: for a brand-new account, the setup wizard walks you through company size โ add employees โ attendance rule โ leave rule โ invite in one flow ("Onboard within 3 mins").
Invite employees (so they can log in)
After adding people, send invites so they activate their profiles:
- Select the employees (or use Invite all).
- Kredily emails each person an activation link.
- They set a password and can then log in on web or the mobile app.
If an invite didn't arrive, you can resend the activation link โ see Login & account access.
Common issues
- Bulk upload failed rows โ open the failure log; the most common causes are a missing mandatory field, a duplicate email/phone, or a date in the wrong format. Fix those rows and re-upload just those.
- "Phone number must be Indian" โ the add-employee form expects an Indian mobile by default; for overseas staff, contact support about the supported format.
- Invite not delivered โ check the email isn't bouncing/spam-filtered, then resend.
When to contact support
Bulk upload keeps failing with valid data, or invitations consistently aren't delivered to a whole domain โ raise a ticket with the Excel file (or a sample row) and the error shown.
