An attendance rule defines how a group of employees is tracked โ€” shift timings, grace, half/full-day thresholds, penalties, overtime, and the tracking method (web, geo, biometric, selfie). Kredily ships common presets; you can also create your own.

Create and assign a rule

  1. Go to Attendance โ†’ Rules. You'll see ready-made presets, or create a new rule.
  2. Set the shift in/out time (e.g. in 10:00, out 19:00), a grace period, and the full-day / half-day duration thresholds per your policy.
  3. Choose the tracking method(s) โ€” web clock-in, geo-fencing, biometric, selfie / face recognition (KredEYE), live tracking.
  4. Assign the rule to the relevant employees.

Advanced options

  • Auto-deduction โ€” automatically mark LOP/half-day when an employee falls short of the required hours.
  • Overtime โ€” enable OT and choose whether it counts before or after the shift. You can also add IP restriction so clock-in/out only works from your office's static IP.
  • Penalties โ€” define penalty logs for late marks / shortfalls.

Common issues

  • Clock-in failing for an employee โ€” see Can't clock in; usually geo-fence/location or no rule assigned.
  • Wrong half-day/LOP marks โ€” re-check the rule's full/half-day thresholds and grace.
  • Overtime not recorded โ€” OT must be enabled on the rule, and the before/after-shift setting must match how staff actually work.

When to contact support

A rule is configured and assigned but attendance still computes wrong across employees โ€” raise a ticket with the rule name and an example employee + date.
